Richmond, KY – In the beginning of 2006 –
Specialized Technical Services, Inc. (TEAMsTs) had entered into an
agreement with a large multi-state Investor Owned Utility, to install
approximately 600,000 more metering points with RF technology in 2006.
The new project represents the completion of their service territory.
This project was completed at the
end of 2006 with a total of 677865 RF Meters and 1828 PLC Meters,
covering a total of 40 areas in West Virginia,
Virginia, Michigan,
Tennessee and Kentucky. In conjunction with the
meter installations, TEAMsTs collected a total of 56305 GPS
coordinates. This information will be used by the utility to better
identify and locate the meters installed…
